QRCodeMaster (qrcodemaster.com) is a service of Q8Digital in Kuwait. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you use our website, your dashboard, digital business cards, NFC cards and QR codes, and how we protect it.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, company and billing details.
- Card and page content: the details our clients choose to publish, such as names, job titles, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, addresses and links. Clients decide what appears on their public pages.
- Scan and visit data: when someone scans a QR code or taps an NFC card we record the date and time, an approximate location worked out from the IP address (country and city), the device type, operating system, browser and language. We use this to show scan statistics to the card owner; we do not try to identify visitors.
- Enquiries and forms: what you send through our contact page, and responses to lead forms on our clients' pages.
- Cookies: cookies needed to sign you in, keep the service secure and remember your language.
2. How we use it
- To provide, operate and support the service, and to print and deliver NFC cards.
- To show card owners their scan statistics and lead form responses.
- To answer your enquiries and send service messages.
- To protect the service against misuse, fraud and attacks.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- the owner of a card or QR code page, for scans and form responses on that page;
- providers that run parts of the service for us, such as hosting, email delivery and payment processing, under confidentiality obligations;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active and for as long as the law requires afterwards. Scan data and form responses are kept for the period that applies to your plan. Enquiries are kept as long as needed to follow them up. Data we no longer need is deleted.
5. Security
All pages are served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to authorised staff, and backups are protected. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you suspect misuse.
6. Your choices
You can view and correct your account and card details in your dashboard at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, by contacting us. If you visited a client's card or filled in a client's form, you can also contact that client directly.
7. Children
The service is meant for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
